R. Joan “Jo” Boucher 79, of Washington, IL, formerly of Mackinaw, passed away Monday August 30, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She had fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jo was born November 5, 1930 in South Pekin to Orville and Eva Annie Hill Teter. She married Robert W. Aber April 7, 1961. He preceded her in death March 21, 1992. She then married the love of her life Lyle B. Boucher June 17, 1993 in Sebring, FL. Lyle preceded her in death April 2, 2008. Also preceding Jo in death were her parents and one sister Dorothy Dailey. |

Jo is survived by one daughter, Dee Johnson of Washington and her fiancé Tom Michael of Chillicothe, two grandchildren, Philip Johnson and his fiancé Barb Becker both of Warrensburg, MO, Stacey Johnson and her fiancé Matt Staley both of Mackinaw, one sister Delores (Ed) Ercegovich of Bettendorf, IA, one brother Tom (Carla) Teter of Aurora, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Jo retired in 1990 from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Morton. She was a member of Mackinaw Christian Church and CWF.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 4, 2010 at Mackinaw Christian Church. The Rev. David Jassman and Rev. Amy Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Christian Church. Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery. Haensel Funeral Home in Mackinaw is assisting the family with arrangements. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to her church or to TAPS.
